  • Nice loop in one of the canyons of Glorietta

The road that leads to the primitive campground is normally good.

Take the main branch of the canyon from the campground, its on the left.
The first part, until the point Fork the hiking is easy.

Take the left fork and there are some boulders that are not that difficult to go around.

At point new canyon go left uphill in this new canyon.
parts are an easy wash, parts are more difficult with some boulders.

At point Summit 2 the canyon top is reached. On the other side the canyon is a bit steeper.

At point fall 1 the hike is more challenging as the main route is simply to steep.
Go to the left, the route downhill is not so steep there. The dirt road can be seen below.
The last part to the road is a bit more difficult, but once on the road hiking is easy again.

At that point we saw a herd of Borrego (6), they were observing us and were just standing there for a photo op.

Follow the road steeply downhill. To the right there is a very old jeep trail, take this trail, along old water pipes.

The road is suddenly gone. Continue downhill along the rocky wash.

Once down, follow the rocky road back, along the mountain.
