  • A nice hike up the Coyote mountain range.

Some parts follow the old (closed) "road", other parts on well defined trails and some parts cross country.

At the main peak (sign unreadable) you can go back the way you came or go further on a more difficult hike down a small boulder canyon.

Go downhill up to what looks like a crater. Very green in February 2010.
Left of the "crater" a wash goes downhill. Follow that wash all the way down.
Some parts are easy, some parts are full of boulders. There is always a relatively easy way to go down.

Closer to the dry lake, that was filled with water in the beginning of February but now dry 3 weeks later on.

Keep the mountain range on your right and hike back to the car.
Hiking time 3 Hour 15 minutes
