A nice hike up Tanque Verde Ridge Trail.

We started outside the park at the Old Spanish Road. The trail is unmarked at the road, but marked immediately inside the park.
The Cactus Forest trail crosses the park road. Take the park road (asphalt) for 15 minutes to the picnic area.

The trailhead is at the parking of the picnic area.

A relatively easy trail leads uphill. The trail runs along the ridge and there is a good view of Tucson. There is no real end for a day hike, so stop wherever you like.

Hiking time: 4 Hour 30 Minutes return. About 1 Hour 10 minutes, return to the Tanque Verde Ridge Trailhead.
