  • A hike up into the canyon, to the Romero pools. A scenic hike with great views.
The trail is well marked and easy to follow.

At the start you may get your feet wet at the easy water crossing.
The trail starts easy but will gradually become more rough and steeper.

At the pools you may want to cross. We found a relatively easy crossing a couple of feet upriver.

Don't expect much solitude on this heavily hiked trail.

The hike is in the National Forest. But the access is in the tiny Catalina State Park.
