Nice mountain / canyon hike.

Turn left just before the huge map.
The trail runs close, just above, the General Hitchcock campground.
At Xing 1 the trail from the campground meets the main trail.

Go up canyon on an relatively easy trail.
Just past Xing 2 there was plenty of snow, a bit too much to continue this hike safely. (End of March 2010)

There is a lot of shade from the pine trees along the hike.
Hiking time: 3 Hour 10 Minutes

About 15F cooler than Tucson.
