The trail starts at [1] go west, right around a water tank, [Chimney Rock trail – Thunder mountain trail] after 0.1 Mile, at a crossing go right [Chimney Rock trail].
This trail doesn't follow the official trail all the way but bends to the right. So check you gps at times.
The large mountain to your right is Capitol Butte [6355 feet] and ahead a bit to the left is Chimney Rock.
Energy left? Go up Little Sugarloaf at a crossing [Chimney Rock – Lower Chimney Rock trail] trail to the left.
Up Little Sugarloaf is a bit more challenging because of the loose gravel.
At point [3] there is a larger parking lot to start the trail. We continue the loop [Thunder Mountain trail] heading back to the start.
