A very interesting redrock butte.

At the parking go towards to wilderness sign below.
The trail is clearly visible up to the butte.

The Robbers Roost is not difficult to find, but is more difficult and a bit dangerous to reach.
You can stroll around the butte.

On your way back, you may want to check out the wash. It's only a short walk in the wash to some scenic pools. They had water in them in the end of April 2010.

At mile 364.2 take FR 525, after about 2.6 mile from the highway, turn left on the FR 525C (may be unmarked, but it's the only wide road turning left).

Follow the FR 525C all the way to the 9530. The road up to the 9530 should be accessible to all cars most of the time. But may be problematic after extensive rain.

The 9530 is a rough road but a high clearance car should be able to make it to the parking.
If not, park at the beginning of 9530 and hike.
Hiking is not that much slower, than by car, on this rough and rocky road.

Hiking time: about 1 Hour.
Add an extra hour, if you can't make it to the last parking.

Robbers Roost could have been a hideout for outlaws.
