To get familiar with the test programs, run the Test Client and Test Server, both on the same local machine.
How this works.
When you hit the start button on the Test Server, it starts listening on the specified port.
The Test Client sends a message on the same port, to the address of the Test Server.
The Test Server sees the message and sends it own message, back to the Test Client.
Test Server
Copy the Test Server exe on the remote computer.
Start the Test Server exe and allow firewall access for the Test Server.
Make sure the Port number is unused by another application.
Press Start and let the program run.

Test Client
Start the Test Client exe on you local computer and allow firewall access for the Test Client.
Make sure the Port number is identical to the one used on the Test Server.
The address is the address of the computer that runs the Test Server exe.
The list at the bottom, shows all currently connected computers. To refresh the list press Search.
Click on the computer that runs the Test Server, you can check use Ip address, to copy the ip address, instead of the name.
Pressing start will send a message from the Test Client to the Test Server.
The Test Server will respond in sending it's own message back to the Test Client.
Enabling the debug mode will show a lot of additional technical information.
Test BOINC
When you are finished try sending a message to the BOINC client.
Set a port of 31416 in the Test Client and press the Start button.
